I’m the one in the brown hat.

What you might not see is the victim in the car. His feet are pointing out the open car door. An agent is sitting on one of his legs. He’s only wearing crocs.

Bystanders found his legal work visa in his abandoned car.

#AbolishICE
This is what happened in our neighborhood yesterday. ICE snatched a human being off of our streets, roughed them up badly, and then pepper sprayed legal observers as they documented it all. This is a daily occurrence happening all throughout Minnesota right now.

You may need to reset your bsky password. Go to the settings for "enable Bluesky" and click the button again.

This should synchronize your bsky password to be the same as your wafrn password. The PDS domain should be the same (at.app.wafrn.net)

New, from me: A year in, did DOGE deliver on its promises?

Not the promises it made to us (cut spending, modernize government, improve services). It worsened state capacity.

But it was part of a successful broligarchy exercise in state capture. 🧵

So how do the failure to cut spending line up with DOGE's claims? The wall of receipts was mostly a wall of lies, based on double-counting, claiming pre-existing cuts, claiming programs that remain in place have been eliminated, or vastly exaggerating the scale of cuts.

[politics, long post]
Y'know, once upon a time (ummm, 13 months ago, which seems like a completely different timeline at this point) it would have been held as way beneath the dignity of the office of the Presidency for the POTUS to ever give the finger to a US citizen in answer to a [...]

An official from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis told MPR News that armed U.S. Border Patrol goons came onto school property during dismissal Wednesday and began tackling people; they handcuffed two staff members and released chemical weapons on bystanders.

After the killing of Ms Good, Greg Bovino of the CPB led a raid on a Minneapolis HS. An official there said: They don’t care. They’re just animals,” I’ve never seen people behave like this.”

All MPLS schools now closed for the week.

let me give some quotes from a conversation I just had

ok so here's the thing, the way Google keeps a grip on android is by having the core open, but "heavily incentivizing" (forcing) everyone to depend on Google services in some way

For example, check this list of """Android Featu[...]

Journalists often talk about how the media's business model is broken, but I would gladly pay the first news organization that starts profiling the individual ICE and CBP agents involved in terrorizing people
Unacceptable behavior from ICE in Salisbury, NC today. Attempting to intimidate U.S. citizens is a major abuse of power. 1/5/26

If the DEA had killed 80 innocent Americans in the course of apprehending one drug dealer, there would be riots. But we are so ghoulishly indifferent to the lives and humanity of people abroad that it's barely even part of the conversation.
A reminder that the US killed 80 people in Venezuela, and it would be nice if the US media cared enough to think that the life of a grandmother in Caracas whose building is destroyed by a US bomb matters as much as the life of a person in the US.

What is sad, is that if there was an actual viable international court system, there would be plenty of very real crimes for which Maduro could be tried for - e.g. the authorization & orders from him to unjustly detain, assault, and even murder a multitude of Venezuela... see complete post
