Going to see Army of Darkness with friends right after watching both the Evil Dead movies, getting to the theater and discovering that everyone else in that showing (maybe 40 people) had done exactly the same thing.

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.

It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

Arguably the second worst mistake made by the government was including the caveat “unless convicted of a crime” in the 13th amendment. The biggest mistake was of course not hanging every single southern leader, slave owner and sympathizer for treason.
No state has a longer, more profit-driven history of contracting prisoners out to private companies than Alabama. With a sprawling labor system that dates back more than 150 years — it has constructed a template for the commercialization of mass incarceration.
