I had to give up on an ebook I was trying to read. While I appreciate that some people might like to know the definitions of words like "starboard" and "regolith" I would prefer an ability to turn that shit off. I KNOW the words or can guess the context and the highlights are distracting.

Unrelated, I'm devastated to see that the Coasties are now in the business of licking jackboots (like the other branches already do). NO ONE is willing to take a public stand. That's awful and frightening on every level.

If the gov't was given multiple opportunities to an upcoming story and chose not to, that's on them. Plenty of other stories have aired with the rider "[source] did not reply to requests for comment" or "we reached out to [source] for comment and received no reply." or words to that effect.
