When you’re a UK trans woman, you roll invisible dice every day before work. All sixes, and a coworker with billionaire money will take your employer to court over you, you will be on the news, and when you leave the country, men with abuse allegations against them will call it a victory for women.

For some reason everyone's soulmate is Harry Dubois' internal monologue???
i'm trying not to be too mean but it's really striking how every single one of these people's AIs talk exactly the same and somehow none of them notice or consider what that indicates

I think one thing that has been so bleak about the court's approach to trans people is that the starting point is that trans identities are not valid and amount to a belief. Really struggling to understand how that can possibly align with gender reassignment as a protected characteristic in law.
"Judges swear an oath to 'do right to all manner of people after the laws and usages of this realm, without fear or favour, affection or ill will.' All manner of people and without fear or favour. We need to tell them that trans lives are real and they matter."

Online leftists miss the point when they treat trans, women’s, BIPOC, and disabled struggles as secondary to the “workers’ revolution.” Dismantling racial supremacy and patriarchy is the revolution. If you overthrow capitalism without uprooting those foundations, it just comes back with a new names.

look, what I *want* is my rights back, a public inquiry into how they got taken, a medal, a bouquet of flowers and a grovelling apology, but I’d settle for the consciousness that you can write all the transphobic shit you want in the press but trying to do policy off it is nuts

As ever terrible take from The Economist, arguing that although wealth inequality is increasing we should really be measuring inequality in the amount of 'spending' between wealth brackets.

The Greens here with the only drugs policy based in evidence and harm reduction. Polanski rightly points out the disingenuous position of many politicians, pushing counterproductive crack downs in spite of many senior politicians stating on the record that they have taken illegal drugs.
