I'm being pessimistic here but really I think my goal is to describe the pattern that tends to happen, encompassing the span from the Noam Chomskys to the Donald Trumps as far as this stuff goes, and to point out:
We can recognise this pattern. It repeats itself often enough to see it happening.

I am once again stating the obvious by saying that the whole “low information voters” thing is a media tactic to normalise Trumpism because what do you mean these people have the capacity to find EVERY conspiracy theory about climate change and trans people, but none to believe Trump is evil.
