hey remember when a bunch of middle-aged drunk korean lawmakers climbed the locked gates to the national assembly to hold an emergency session after the president gave illegal orders to the military, all of which ended with said president being sentenced to prison

Legit the heart of these kinds of games is the little human touches and those are entirely lost with this sort of junk in it. Regardless of quality it just doesn't sit right with me either.

Another aseprite user here: yeah yeah it's really good! You can also get it on itch.io or aseprite.org if you don't want to be forced to use steam!
ATTENTION ARTISTS AND ANY ASPIRING PIXEL ARTISTS!!!

Aseprite is on sale on Steam!! It's a Pixel art program for art/animating and I highly recommend! (I have almost 700 hours in it!) It's $13 and a one time payment for an excellent program!!

You shake yourself awake in the cold North Atlantic water. You are not online. It is July of 1858. You are a baleen whale, and you have changed your mind. The future most not come to pass. The telegraph cable must break.

what people need to understand is that literally every part of the process is art. programmers especially need to figure that out because holy shit I am tired of seeing my fellow artists bend down to the idea that an LLM is important to programming

This, the bullshit with "oh we don't use it for ACTUAL art, just concept art inspiration!! All of our art is HANDMADE by HUMANS", it's all just testing the fences like a god damn velociraptor. Trying to push the boundaries bit by bit so it gets easier to accept the NEXT use of Gen AI.

If you're not trans, I don't think I can fully explain how important this is.

It's so powerful that one of the most circulated science media publications in the world has come out and said "trans children are real and providing transition care improves their lives." That's groundbreaking.
The name "Popular Science" doesn't mean we shift our coverage depending on public opinion. It means we cover relevant subjects that are rigorously researched, reliable, and grounded in reality.

And trans lives are grounded in reality.

We see y'all. No matter what.

First-of-a-kind study shows encouraging data for trans kids who socially transition
Ninety-four percent of participants in a new study stood firm in their trans identity after five years, and "detransitioning" is rare.

Our upcoming game The Hearth and Harbour is fully 2D, but with some neat tricks we’ve made it look 3D. Ethan, our environment artist, did this with a special type of texture called a Normal Map. (Thread! 1/7)
