Graham Greene helped make the rest of the world see Indigenous people as real human beings. The first time I saw him on screen was in Dances With Wolves and the last time was in The Last of Us. What a tremendous legacy! RIP ✊🏽🙌🏽❤️

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say the trade policies and bellicose rhetoric have less to do with it than the uncertainty about whether some maga dipshit is maybe going to indefinitely detain you in the airport because he doesn’t like your kind.
International travelers concerned about President Donald Trump’s trade policies and bellicose rhetoric have been canceling trips to the United States, depriving the U.S. tourism industry of billions of dollars at a time when the economy has started to appear wobbly.
Nervous about Trump, international tourists scrap their U.S. travel plans
International tourists are canceling plans to visit the United States, with Canadians leading the way.

Every Canadian upset w/ Cross Country Checkup for treating annexation rhetoric w/ sombre feigned objectivity should do this. Name both Editor-In-Chief Brodie Fenlon & Ian Hanomansing. Specifically mention how the debate normalizes rhetoric that promotes violation of sovereignty & international law.

I know a lot of you really love this as an alternative site but please be aware of the anti-Palestinian bias that has caused so many people to unfairly be suspended (while coordinated campaigns to get Palestinians banned on here are allowed to continue).
This fucking app man- I don’t even know what to do about it at this point/ they clearly dgaf about being in anyway fair or just about looking at their deletion of Palestinian accounts and determining if they have a systemic problem

CBC's Cross Country Checkup promises to foster discussion between Canadians who think we should become 51st state, and Canadians who think we should surrender to different countries
There have been a few times when Checkup has been hammered on social media for a program we haven't done yet. I'm in a show meeting right now. The gap between what's being posted and what we're actually planning is enormous. Our regular listeners should expect the same care we use for every show.

Well, that sucked. That was absolutely terrible. This was terrible radio, atrocious journalism and I am stupider and madder for having listened to it. Cross-country Checkup is never very good but this really just take a new shit cake.

Here's my latest -- Not only are we grossely underprepared to fight fascism, it's already here and it's driving the markets wild.
Fascism is rising out of the corpse of liberal democracy
If the world's richest man does a fascist salute in a forest, does it make a sound?

Besides being idiotic and hate speech - this podcast by the National Post, saying 'Natives=Hamas' is one more piece of evidence showing that support for Israel's crimes in Gaza leads to hatred of Indigenous people here at home (and vice versa).

Wow that’s a pretty dirty move from Canada Post. Rather than negotiate with the workers, it’s violating the Canada Labour Code and laying people off during the strike. The strike going on longer is going to be at their feet. www.cbc.ca/news/busines...
Canada Post says it has been temporarily laying off striking workers | CBC News
The union representing Canada Post workers says the Crown corporation has been laying striking employees off as the labour action by more than 55,000 workers approaches the two-week mark.
