How this whole website is set up is meant as an open data platform. Privacy or the illusion thereof doesn't exist. There's no restricted mode. Everything is accessible through the API.

So even if the platform itself doesn't train on your messages, it definitely has people who does.

To anyone thinking about joining BlueSky, especially artists: everything you post is used to train generative Al models.
BlueSky uses Al to label content for moderation, and to do that they use a company called https://t hehive.ai/. If you look through their privacy policy, you will see that they all content sent to them to train models for all their services, which include generative Al for both text and images.
It's a built in «feature" and cannot be turned off.

oh dear. if bluesky using thehive.ai for moderation, that means they're using Thorn's CSAM detection. Not ideal since Thorn is anti-sex work/anti-porn. I would have preferred that they use Microsoft's PhotoDNA 🤷

I am moving to using a US Fullfiment Centre for US customers. It will take weeks to fully implement. I am having to pay several thousands for the shipping of products to the US and the custom fees. I am depleting my savings. I am scared and stressed. I just wish people could see that I'm trying.
