Trump vs. US was the final straw imo. You cannot read that ruling and continue believing they have legitimacy. It is not only against the plain text of the constitution, it is anathema to the national ethos. It is offensively, insultingly un-American and they ceded legitimacy by committing that sin.

It seems like Trump’s Portland gambit is only possible because Americans are sufficiently insulated from depictions of the real world by a universe of derivative media AND the news orgs we’d expect to cover this faithfully are off the clock anyway.

99% of the whining seems to be both performative ineffectual. I wouldn't be surprised if the genre of YouTubers expressing grievances with entertainment actually get more people to watch what they target, whether to hate-watch or wanting to be "in the know" with their "communities."
