Friendly, compliant governments, like Eswatini, have received early shipments, whereas South Africa or Nigeria — countries that have fallen out of favor with Trump — seem to have received the short end of the stick."

Month #3 is done. 10/30. Better than before but still poor form by @npr.org. Normalizing fascism 2/3rds of the time. They’ll get their $100 donation. Can they do better in month #4? Let’s see.
Month #2 in the books and @npr.org got 9 days of 30 where they didn’t normalize fascism. I docked them two days because of egregious normalization of fascism or outright propaganda. So, 7/30 again. Poor form. Let’s see how month #3 does.
Hey @npr.org - I think an independent public media is essential, but I’ve been disappointed by your light coverage of the daily outrages committed by the Trump admin.

So, here’s the deal. For each day you don’t sanewash Trump, I’ll donate to you. By “sanewash,” I mean the following:

Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

Since February, according to my latest analysis, almost 600,000 Black women have been economically sidelined. The November 20, 2025, Jobs Report makes clear this isn’t a blip. It’s a structural crisis. That is not a recovery. It is a redistribution of opportunity.

it's great how much of our interaction with AI is just figuring out how to make it go away.
Oh wait! Figured out how to get rid of the garbage Gemini button in Chrome:

- Right-click
- Unpin

Gone!

Google has started automatically opting you in to let it read your stuff to train AI. You need to turn this off in SEVERAL places in your settings (not just for Gmail), if you want to maintain privacy and confidentiality.

An Oregon pilot program giving cash to homeless youths sees a staggering reduction in homelessness. The program gave participants $1,000 cash payments each month for two years, and at the end of the project's first phase, 91% of participants reported being in stable housing.

I swear there has never been someone described as a "thought leader" whose actual thoughts turned out to be worth paying attention to
"Sapiens" is basically an indictment of the whole concept of the "thought leader," a guy with academic credentials who sounds smart and underpays graduate students to (poorly) do the research that he slaps his name on and publishes.

This is how we do it.
Gum up the works.
"The way Grambo sees it, it’s a numbers game. If he can draw the attention of officers to himself, perhaps fewer immigrants will get swept up, and that’s a win. “I know I can’t stop them,” he said, “but if I can suck up their time, then at least I can help some people.”"

This is the way.
“I want their morale as low as possible because a team with low morale is ineffective.”
