CLEAN INDOOR AIR

Like we cleaned water for public health a *century* ago. It's effin maddening.
We are living with high levels of totally unnecessary airborne infections and the benefits of clean air could be as great as handwashing. www.cuh.nhs.uk/news/air-fil...
They would remove all airborne: flu, Covid, Norovirus can also become aerosolised, Measles, TB etc
Air filters on wards remove almost all airborne Covid virus

NCAR is quite literally our global mothership.

Everyone who works in climate and weather has passed through its doors and benefited from its incredible resources.

Dismantling NCAR is like taking a sledgehammer to the keystone holding up our scientific understanding of the planet.

Unbelievable.

It all matters, yes, but this matters more than Susie Wiles, matters more, even, than the travel ban; more than all of Trump’s wars actual & looming (Venezuela, Ukraine, Somalia, Gaza) combined. It’s like the Cuban Missile Crisis, only U.S. is aiming it missiles at everyone, starting with itself.

If US citizens haven't got it yet: the NSS on Friday declares US intent to dominate all of the Americas. It is a declaration of war on the sovereignty of Canada, Mexico, on all Central & South American nations.
Your children will have to fight for it.
Think Vietnam, X34.
You-all cool with that?

I feel like someone has done his genealogy? There was a geneaologist who did good work finding many instances of hypocrisy in the family history of Trump officials the first go round.
Stephen Miller’s uncle claims that he himself is a product of chain migration. He expresses dismay and increasing horror as he observes his nephew, an educated man who is well aware of his heritage, becoming the architect of immigration policies that contradict his family’s history in this country.

Yes they are sitting ducks on the ground.
One bomb or missile strike on the runway(s) and the F35s can no longer take off or land.
They need 8,000ft minimum to take off when armed & fuelled for combat.
The Gripen needs less than 2,000ft fully loaded for landings. Less for take offs.
Roads work too.
The best info is that all the current F-35 operators are struggling maintain a 50% availability rate. It doesn't matter how good tech tech is if they can't fly. They are sitting ducks on the ground. In WWII the term was "hangar queen".

What happens when BC's Ministry of Forests overestimates the number of trees remaining in BC?

Well, if there are more trees it can raise the "annual allowable cut" (AAC) - ie the amount of forest than can be "sustainably" logged.

It seems someone was concerned enough to leak a major report #bcpoli
