The Yarvinite fanbois nicknamed their movement as "Endarkenment" for a reason.

They see themselves as sole authorities and princes of "network states" with an eternal peasant class that is uneducated, miseducated and easy to lead by the nose.

They are training ppl to not think.
This is why OpenAI is selling so aggressively to education at all levels—they want to create entire generations of users incapable of reading, writing and thinking without ChatGPT to hold their hands

And teachers and professors should call this out for what it actually is
To bear out this rosy projection, HSBC assumes that OpenAI will become "as ubiquitous [...] as Microsoft 365" (345mm users worldwide) while bringing in 10x the number of users (3bn).

This is why I get irrationally angry when folks get smug about literacy et al ..

Because folks are rushing to rehabilitate Nazis but just casually mocking folks who are being purposely undereducated for decades

Because helping them doesn’t get the points against an enemy

Day before Thanksgiving, the power is out.
Following the ongoing winter storm across the Upper Midwest, another storm system is forecast to impact parts of the Midwest and Great Lakes with wintry weather this weekend. Keep an eye on the forecast and check weather.gov for more information. ❄️

Aye man, DHS took a TikTok that featured a group of black kids sendingn a message to Iran, edited to make it look like they were threatening ICE, then posted that TikTok on their twitter profile and basically federally doxxed them. Like, essentially put a hit out on them…

I wish this was a lie.

Shut up! Change nothing!
Saw this sign at an estate sale over the weekend. What the fuck does this even mean? This is the stupidest political attitude I've ever heard of

Cooking Korean-style steak, supposed to be in Virginia, but living with my parents instead. In Cleveland. I l love my city, but all of my luggage, my whole life, was sent to Virginia and I am here. All of this is on my mind, as I mistake Worcestershire sauce for soy sauce.

There needs to be an equivalent of “touch grass” for people like Klein.
👇🎯 The polite way to say what this conversation reveals is that Coates is operating on a totally different moral plane & Klein is only vaguely able/willing to grasp that difference.

The official explanation for MH370 will never sit right with me. It feels like convicting someone of murder without producing the body.

Calls to tolerate social conservatism are asinine because they're not calls to tolerate social conservative views, they're calls to tolerate socially conservative violence. And that's the rub. These are people who can't leave other people alone, and demand to be coddled for it.

Charlie Kirk spent his life‘s work and all of his energy and time targeting out-groups while arguing for a world in which gun massacres would be easy to enact, plentiful, and inevitable, and he became famous and wealthy doing it, and we’re now not supposed to mention that because it’s not polite.

In so many ways, the Roberts Court has revived the logic of Dred Scott: that racially targeted groups have “no rights which the white man was bound to respect.”

Thinking in particular today abt the free Black Americans trafficked under the Fugitive Slave Law, virtually w/o legal recourse.
The obvious implication being that SCOTUS will not force the regime’s Racial Purity Police in ICE & CBP to adhere to the Fourth Amendment.
#BREAKING: With no explanation (save for a solo concurrence by Justice Kavanaugh), #SCOTUS has frozen lower-court rulings that had enjoined allegedly suspicion-less arrests as part of "roving" immigration patrols in California.

Justice Sotomayor, joined by Justices Kagan and Jackson, dissents:
