I don't think I can emphasize enough how much of a big deal this is in the UK. If I recall correctly, having a non-Christian chaplain in uniform has previously only happened twice.

Weirdest new cultural difference between the US and EU I am noting while appliance shopping: the US is a land of Korean and Japanese rice cookers (mostly the thoroughly mid Cuckoo and the terrifying and wonderful Zojirushi). Most of the rice cookers I see for sale in Belgium are Chinese.
