That Sync button in #Intune isn’t doing what you think it is.

It’s not a command. It’s a signal.

Our latest blog breaks down, step by step, what actually happens after you click Remote Sync, from WNS to policy evaluation.

I stopped using Meta products years ago. Yes, that includes Insta. Start with WhatsApp because Signal is the objectively better alternative. This company has been undermining our liberal democracies for a decade, starting with Brexit. And its radicalising.

Important context here: when Peter Thiel and David Sacks began their war on diversity as undergrads at Stanford, thirty years ago, the very first tactic they adopted was to normalize slurs that had already been stigmatized out of mainstream society. This return of these hateful terms was a key goal.
“It turns out that banishing the slur from public discourse was, in fact, important. Because now it’s back and it turns out that it does matter when subtext becomes actual text, when terrible people enable open hatred and bigotry, encouraging others to emulate them, degrading us all.”
Perry: The return of the r-word
"These days, the r-word slur has become a staple of the American right wing, uttered with few professional or social consequences," David M. Perry writes.

This is plainly what’s happening to NASA, and why NSF is being gutted. Yes, your favorite galaxy might get a glossy image from JWST next year, but the field of astronomy is actively being torn to shreds and we’re not even being honest about it with ourselves!
I just wish someone would be honest and say “we are ending civilian science in favor of science that is focused on serving national security and war”

The UK government wants iPhones and Android devices to be updated to block the ability to display or take nude photos unless verified as an adult.

Maybe this explains why Apple is hesitant to add age verification at the OS level if it opens the door to requests like these.

#Microsoft just made a big move with the #Intune Suite. It’s now included in M365 E3 and E5. Prices are going up. Some features moved. Some didn’t.

This isn’t just licensing fine print. It impacts budgets, planning, and endpoint strategy.

I honestly think the reason GenAI has been so successful at getting orgs to pump money into a furnace is because it’s executive porn. It’s a mirror. People love mirrors.

It accepts any idea, loves to be told it is wrong, and spits out infinite bullshit summaries about things people don’t understand
“It’s a system that just takes a bunch of real original human thoughts and repeats them but in a stupidly imperceptible summary for lazy idiots who don’t want to do any work to understand”

People are always surprised to learn how little creators actually own in comics, games, etc. Big corporate brands are usually built on a work-for-hire model, meaning creators get paid once and then the *company* owns their ideas forever. This is why independent/creator-owned work is so important.
Miles Morales co-creator Sara Pichelli says she does not get any royalties from the ‘Spider-Verse’ films, Insomniac games, or merch
