Mediterranean. Should have *some* mythic whimsy too it. But both Iliad and Odyssey are ultimately serious stories about fate, society and free will. Shouldn't just be jokes about Elpenor falling off the roof on a jolly around the Aegean.

eh? they made some of the dumbest TV ads about shoehorning a terrible AI tool into a phone and were rightly clowned for doing so.
I find it really striking that the one giant tech company that only took very timid steps in terms of AI is Apple, where they think about how to market what to who a crazy amount.

One of the biggest challenges in the games industry now is the disconnect between what gamers think a game is worth and what it actually costs to make.
I have no patience for this. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time retailed for $59.95 in November, 1998. That's $117.27 today.

But the gov website was built by an entirely different program in the civil service where they hired talent at market rate and operated without the standard swirl to deliver something genuinely groundbreaking.
Obviously it's Reddit and that attracts Reddit people but I do think it's funny how "a simple single government website and functioning passport service" are things people genuinely feel quite patriotic about and are such easy wins if you roll that out even further. www.reddit.com/r/AskBrits/c...

I think these screenshots just show the inherent problem with "brand social" right now. None of these comments are original or interesting? Everything is just a repeat of whatever has succeeded in the past? What value these comments add? What do they say about the brand other than they want likes?

Granted this a cranky old man take, and also granted that the iPhone is in every respect a superior technology, BUT kids these days will never know the Christmas glee of getting a good gadget (Walkmen, Gameboy, pocket translator, etc…)
