Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

Yes, they are doing some stupid things as would any governing party. It doesn't mean that EVERYTHING is terrible and getting worse.

There's no placating the Brexiters, no reasoning with them, no basic comprehension or adulthood. You can't debate papers behaving like the Sun or the Mail this morning. There's nothing to debate with. They view all trading relations with Europe as humiliation.

As much as it's a welcome WAY TOO LATE change that Britain is threatening sanctions on Israel if it doesn't lift the restrictions on aid getting in...it still isn't...actually DOING it. But I'm sure there are people insisting Starmer is Hamas now even though he's still refusing to call it genocide.

One of the many things that depresses me about the current political landscape is that there’s no downside for the right wing press - let alone online political influencers - from telling blatant lies.
