The irony is that one of the reasons Harriet Harman decided not to pursue Badenoch for hacking her website was a belief that more black women in politics was a good thing. So, in a small but salient way, Badenoch owes her position to the very solidarity she now mocks.

Trump has said he will "permanently pause migration" to the US from all "third world countries".

First, “permanently” is not a “pause”. Secondly, “third world countries”. It’s not the 1980s, you backwards buffoon.
Trump says US will 'permanently pause migration' from 'third world countries'
The president did not name which countries would be affected, but vowed to remove anyone "not a net asset" to the US.

So completely tone deaf and out of touch.
You just cannot take the iPaper seriously when it wheels out Kwasi ‘mini budget’ Kwarteng to comment on the budget.
We don’t *ever* want to hear from this arrogant clown again.

I see all the headlines today refer to ‘Benefit Street’

What they don’t tell you is 60% of those on benefits are in work.

No outcry on those employers not paying enough or concocting hours to enable people to claim UC.

First it was immigrants. Now it’s those on benefits.

Catching up with Badenochs #Budget2025 reply.

Basically one long personal attack on Reeves. What an awful person Badenoch is.

Did she offer any different proposals? No! But she did imply she would keep the 2 child cap, not invest & more austerity.

All the things that brought us here. #ukpolitics

Complaining from the Speaker's chair about briefing Budget measures is getting very tired, very quickly. There's a reason this stuff is briefed. Some of it is narrow political interest. But it's also in the national interest- it's to prepare the markets.

UK trade policy has basically failed. Someone in government might perhaps want to ponder why this has happened (and the prime answer doesn't start with B and end with rexit - this is a policy failure dating back to 2016)

Trump envoy Steve Witkoff has been outed as a Russian asset. This is traitorous stuff.
Steve Witkoff helped Russia derail Ukraine’s access to Tomahawk missiles. He tipped off the Kremlin about Zelensky’s U.S. visit, giving Moscow time to arrange a call that convinced Trump to block the deal. Witkoff actively works against Ukraine’s defense, in coordination with Putin’s regime.
