There is no reason why Europe can't seize Russia's shadow fleet.

We have the ships. We have the laws. We are just being cowards.

Seizing those vessels removes the money fueling the war.

It is time to stop watching them sail by and start seizing them

What can history teach us about what happens when a populist strongman with an idiosyncratic taste for low interest rates undermines central bank independence?

The shooting today comes at a critical moment in negotiations on the fiscal year 2026 DHS budget.
Democrats cannot vote for a DHS budget that doesn’t restrain the growing lawlessness of this agency.
A witness shared this video with me showing an ICE officer shooting a driver in an SUV in south Minneapolis. DHS says the woman is dead.

WOW. @haleaziz.bsky.social with a new scoop: ICE now gets a running list of every person who is going to be taking a domestic flight inside the United States from the TSA and runs it through their database looking for targets. This explains the Babson College student's arrest.

The analysts who said that this Russian operation might lead to a Ukrainian collapse and were a sign of Russian success were either fools or desperate to praise Russia.

The problem with most machine-based random number generators is that they’re not TRULY random, so if you need genuine randomness it is sometimes necessary to link your code to an external random process like a physical noise source or the current rate of US tariffs on a given country.

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.

As predicted, women in New Hampshire had a hard time voting yesterday because of the new proof of citizenship law:

“It doesn’t have my married name on it,” she said. Town voting officials then sent her away a second time, to get her marriage certificate.

NH’s new ID requirements send some would-be voters home to grab passports, birth certificates
The law requires all new voters to show proof of their U.S. citizenship. For some, that meant making multiple trips to and from the polls before finally casting a ballot on Tuesday.

Note the first sentence. Russia's idea of peace is Ukrainian surrender. Russia rejects a ceasefire every single day. Do NOT fall for the gaslighting coming from the Trump admin that Zelensky and Ukraine reject peace and compromise.

Russia rejects peace and compromise. For over a decade already.
Russian State TV host: “No, there won’t be any ceasefire. Our idea of peace is everything happening the way we see fit.”

He then plays a clip of JD Vance “slamming” Ukraine to emphasize his point.
