At a dance class I complimented a woman on her grippy-bottomed socks. “I love the psych ward socks,” I said. And she goes “I call them Pilates socks.” And those, my friends, are the two types of people.

I just want everyone to have the experience of living in dignity with access to sufficient food, safe housing, needed medical care, high quality education, and time to engage with what sparks their curiosity and spirit

this should not be controversial 🫠

I'm shaking almost too hard to type. I entered SLC airport and heard screams and cries for help. I could see people gathered around, watching. I sped over to discover this woman face down on the floor, four grown men pushing her down, while she cried "HELP ME" and pled for her child.

Why did @govpritzker.illinois.gov send out Illinois police to limit protests at Broadview? Why is a progressive governor shielding illegal ICE activity from peaceful protesters? Why are our state tax dollars devoted to Trump’s agenda?

We need a bigger national spotlight on this building raid, fam. Agents dropped from helicopters onto the roof. Citizens and non-citizens alike were dragged from their homes in the night. People who weren't kidnapped during the raid had their belongings seized after the fact. This is madness.
"Jones, 27, is among the residents left at 7500 S. South Shore Drive who are trying to piece together what remains after an early morning, high-powered federal immigration raid led to the arrests of dozens of their neighbors at their South Shore apartment building."

Jimmy Kimmel was suspended by ABC after pressure from the United States government. This is a direct attack on the First Amendment.

Political violence and threats are not the answer.

This is a watershed moment — we can choose to stay silent and live in fear, or we can choose to be loud for peace and compassion.

We must work together to stop this crisis, and it should start from the top with the President.

Where is all the outrage for those of us who have been targeted for years? Where is the outrage for our families?

My own colleagues are silent.
