8/ This is a watershed moment, as Trump thumbs his nose at a Supreme Court ruling, gaslighting the public by pretending his won 9-0 when he lost 9-0.

If we normalize this, there's no end. He can lock up or remove anyone. We will no longer exist in a democracy.

The most I do for them is to cut off their spent flowers to save them the effort of seeding and make them a present of their green leaves necessary to the development of the bulb underground. These leaves look untidy for a bit, I know. On no account cut them off. #gardening

You probably know all this already, so may I add two little reminders? It is so easy to forget these seasonal jobs, and then the moment has passed and it is too late. The first to remember is that this is the time to lift snowdrops— #gardening

Nerine sarniensis also got itself distributed into northern waters a good way short of its intended destination, for in 1659 it was washed up unnoticed on Guernsey, where to everybody’s astonishment it flowered in its natural season a few months later.

Dr. Oz, nominated by Trump to head up Medicare and Medicaid, is all in on the plan to take nurses out of nursing homes.
WYDEN: Do you believe in a nursing home there should be a registered nurse available around the clock?

DR OZ: As you know, that's a complicated question

WYDEN: No it's not. We need a nurse in a nursing home. Not too complicated.

Aside from the obvious direct harm, what's so irritating is that a handful of spoiled ignorant assholes are breaking things that we all built together. They weren't content to own almost everything, they had to wreck what little they didn't own. It's vandalism on a mass scale and has to be punished

Today marks 21 years sober. I've been sober so long, my sobriety would be old enough to legally drink.

Whatever you want to change about yourself, change it. The sooner you do, the sooner you can celebrate the anniversary of changing.

Thank you to everyone who joined tonight's town hall and asked such thoughtful questions. Oregonians are terrified about what Trump's lawlessness means for them and for America. I'm focused on making sure Republicans will have to answer for how they're hurting you and your family.
Reminder that instead of attending Donald Trump's first address to Congress tonight I'll be hosting an open-to-all town hall on Facebook live at 6 PM PT. You don't need a Facebook account – or to be an Oregonian – to tune in. Look forward to seeing you all soon.
Oregon Statewide Town Hall with Senator Wyden
Event by People's Town Hall and Senator Ron Wyden on Tuesday, March 4 2025 with 2.5K people interested and 1.7K people going. 51 posts in the discussion.

If you want to meaningfully influence your Member of Congress + Senator on Social Security and Medicaid (core disability policy areas), call them every day. That's the first thing to do.

If you can do more? Absolutely do more - meet with their office, show up to a townhall with a question
