If you slaughter an entire people group their relatives won’t want to vote for you. Just a little tip I think everyone running for office should consider!

Paying a bit more attention to Canadian politics while I'm back and it's so goofy that we no longer have a Minister of Science but DO have a Minister of AI 😵‍💫

I mean nobody even noticed when TMX *did* get built. Alberta produces twice as much oil as it did 10 years ago and the average Albertan thinks production has been reduced since then.

Something that must change in Democratic politics is the belief that democracy is “drama.”

Primaries and challenging leadership aren’t “drama,” it’s democracy.

Hesitation to participate in democracy only leads to an erosion of it.

"See, we came together and compromised" is a good talking point when the gettable swing voter has a vaguely positive sense of both parties or how the system is supposed to work. Not when the 50th percentile marginal vote is like "I hate both of them so much" and your offer is "cool, I'm like both!"

Their very real demand is to work around this by demanding complete message discipline from everyone on the internet who could possibly be associated with them. From highly engaged activists and organizers to the random Black person on the internet who all do not work for them.
the democratic party’s basic problem is it has almost no control over how its message reaches the ears of voters, especially outside of presidential election years. but rather than devote serious time, attention and cash to that problem its consultants and pundits want to fight factional battles

If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net
