Get your flu shot and a COVID booster. We’re seeing both in clinic, and staff is also getting sick even though we’re vaccinated. If we’re too sick to work, we can’t help you. Wear a mask if you’re in a doctor’s office, ER, or any crowded place. We don’t have a functional health system in place.

Big News: Dallas City Council has approved moving municipal elections from May to November in odd-numbered years.

More Texans will vote. Fewer dollars will be wasted. And more voices will be heard.

Honored to have worked to pass SB 1494 and deliver for the residents of Dallas. #TXLege #SD16

Several of you have already asked what you can do to help and since this is buried at the end of a very long thread, I figured I'd quote it... it feels too much like begging to reach out individually to those who have already offered, so I figured I'll just post this and whoever sees it, sees it.

to be honest, teen vogue was doing politics better than the times or post.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

Let's talk about this for a moment, because Erick was correct in everything he said. The dogpile from other white people was typical, and is also something that, if you aren't taking the time to learn about your own racism, is going to have Black and brown folks stepping back from you.
Yet another account I used to follow. Man was I stupid….

White people like this dude can’t anoint themselves “Ally”. It doesn’t work that way. Especially when you don’t know what racism is and how it works.

Gotta love the “I don’t want to change the world…” quote too. SMFH
