I am toying with the idea of re-doing my old "why enthusiast brands will betray you" since it's 9 years old but people keep referencing it all the time.

What are newer examples of this phenomenon? Can you think of any brand that avoided this fate?

Just tried the Meta RayBans Display today. I fully hope this company fails, but the product is very intriguing!
