Rand Paul: "After seeing this, if you call this a good shooting you aren't watching the video. This was a real tragedy and a mistake. The man had been disarmed and then shot 10 times ... if we say things that are obviously not true, the situation is going to get worse."

In DC, I saw people more focused on serving their stock portfolios than serving their constituents. Families are struggling to get by while politicians and their billionaire donors get even richer. I refuse to sit on the sidelines and watch things get worse.

(NPR) Another summary of Holman's press conference last night in Minneapolis, with the comment that he would be focused on "drawing down" ICE activity in that city. Unclear what that means, but let's watch, learn, and see what he means.

This thread about HPV-caused cancers is well worth your time.
When my son was of the age, the vaccine was new-ish, controversial (sigh), and not covered by insurance. I had a frank talk with him about HPV, its risk to women, and how it is spread.

Finally got around to a bit of research I'd been meaning to explore, and: There is no documented instance of an ICE officer being identified and assaulted while off duty because he wasn't masked. www.pbump.net/o/ices-excus...
ICE’s excuse for wearing masks has never actually manifested
There have been incidents of harassment and threats. But there are no apparent incidents in which identified ICE officers have been assaulted off-duty.

There's really something going on here. They know they have a huge economic problem looming. This explains the Fed's fights, its obsession with interest rates, and its limiting of Wall Street investments in single-family housing. They are looking at every gimmicky way to goose the economy.

🚨 FOX & MAGA are framing resistance to the ICE surge as a centrally organized and well-funded "insurgency" similar to that faced by US forces in Iraq.

This is DANGEROUS rhetoric, setting the stage for vigilante action and/or a massive federal roundup of activists under the guise of anti-terrorism.

I don't wanna be alarmist here or anything, but I think the /most/ pressing is getting into all of the internment camps and seeing who needs immediate medical attention and who is already dead. If they'll just murder any citizen they don't like, what we find inside detention is going to be brutal.
