I tend to prefer and seek out silent era trash over art because, in my opinion, it's a better window into the tastes and dreams of ordinary people vs art films.
Art films are valuable, of course, but I've learned more about silent era culture from sleazy, low-budget carny pictures.

I’m playing OS RuneScape on a PvP world because the Hill Giant dungeon is less busy. I thought I was safe because there were only 14 players in the world when I logged on. It was just me and another guy grinding on the giants and things were good for about an 45 minutes. Then out of nowhere (1/x)

I’m conflicted about it. I used to watch tv channels for hours and just absorb whatever shows they put before me like a sponge. Now I have to make a choice every time I want to watch a ten minute video?? It seems excessive
I have not been encouraged by the last four years of proof that people prefer to not make any decisions about what content they consume and would rather have it fed to them by a magical black box.
