The whole Greenland situation is insane. Danes need to park nukes there or something.

Hot take: If the far right thinks going on opposition media channels is good, maybe leftists should also channel this energy and stop worrying about “platforming” established figures and institutions.

Unfortunately Dems would also love this. Nothing gets them more turned on than the prospect of “reasonable Republicans.”
When this is over, all of Trump’s enablers—corporations, the media, law firms, Republicans in Congress—will act as if nothing happened. Time to move on, they’ll say. Let’s have a fresh start, they’ll say. Sorry guys, ain’t gonna happen.

It's "America First" until Netanyahu asks for money and bombs.

It's "America First" until Americans demand universal healthcare.

It's "America First" until Americans demand tuition-free college.

It's "America First" until an American citizen is shot in the face by ICE.

You might not like it, but this is actually peak male form. Just look at that polished dome.
Steven catches a federal prosecutor for ICE, who missed work temporarily after he was caught, by Steven, fantasizing about owning slaves, et similia, et cetera, now back on the job a year later.

And here he is doing presumably some important stuff.

the reason it doesn't matter that resistance liberals were 'right' about trump is that they have no critique of the system he's exploiting and thus no credible solution to the political problem

Reminder that in FY23, the number of convictions of homicides AND manslaughter committed by undocumented immigrants was 29, according to CBP’s own numbers. Meanwhile ICE is responsible for the deaths of at least 5 people in 2026 alone. But I suppose we prefer American-made homicides & manslaughter.

More of this energy please.

It’s hilarious to me that libs continue to apologize and kneel in the face of criticism. They always want to hedge their bets. Meanwhile Trump is just out there flipping people off. Like stand on business for once in your life. Let Reps cry foul and then call it conservative tears.

I will admit I am baffled by Dems refusing to say we should abolish ICE. On optics alone, the ICE brand has lost any value. Even if Dems wanted to rebuild the exact same institution, you’d think they would at least have the sense to want to rebrand.

Gavin Newsom has terrible political instincts. Cozying up to racists like Charlie Kirk. Attacking trans kids. Defending billionaires. When left to his own devices he always picks the wrong path.
Newsom is useful in the same way MTG is. Great that he’s there to make fun of Trump, but that doesn’t mean he’s actually got good ideas. Being pro-tax-the-billionaires is the lowest hanging fruit for 2028 aspirants and he can’t even clear that bar.

I mentioned earlier today that I had done a watercolour of the London Royal Courts of Justice in the Strand. This is it from 1993 (see alt text). I did several paintings wandering up and down the Strand and also in the Inns of Court.

Okay I have a wild conspiracy theory that I bet someone has already researched but: I think Facebook was a state department funded venture from the start. Because what is better for a post-Patriot Act govt but profiles for everyone, assembled by the people themselves?

I am very, very, very, VERY tired of trying to write a dissertation in this political climate. Can’t even escape the news by writing; my topic is too close to how we got here. 🫠

Folks are shocked that their institutions, after professing commitments to climate justice and DEI, are now caving to Trump and scrubbing all references.

It's brutal.

And it's the smallest taste of what our students felt when their universities called in the cops b/c they protested a genocide.
