On Threads, the usual suspects are telling ppl about to lose SNAP benefits to just start a garden. As a gardener, I had to laugh. You need at LEAST an acre of land to feed a family of 4. Start-up costs are enormous. But yes, subsistence farming on the balcony of your rental apartment is the answer

I’ve seen the skeet about this principle. I concur. Seeing a preteen develop up close the last year or so has added a lot to my perspective on how adults behave. These people are truly just small humans having big emotions they cannot process because they have permissive emotionally absent parents.
The president has the maturity of a toddler and he has surrounded himself with other kiddies.

just finished reading through the final edit of my boarding schools book and wow its wild as hell that I get to explain to children how much the government fucked over Indigenous kids.
