That's a horrible call. But, the SEC is desperate to have Georgia in.

Honestly, MTV lost its way when it ditched music videos.

Gen Xers were the first MTV generation, so I’m old enough to remember when Michael Jackson broke the color barrier at MTV.

Indiana/Alabama. More proof CFP committee is clueless.

The CFP championship should be Oregon vs. Indiana. But it won't be, because the committee is clueless.

Points scored in 2025 playoff games:

JMU 34
Ohio State 14

Time for a serious conversation about handing out these participation-trophy bids like candy. Bad TV. Safety issue. I just feel so bad for Ohio State. They should have their own junior tournament

Except the Star Trek episode was better
Pluribus is just the 50 minute Star Trek episode “This Side of Paradise” made into an unnecessarily long series.

Shit. That's what I've been doing wrong all these years.
Why don’t people simply choose not to get the flu.
Dr. Oz on the "super flu": "Every year there's a flu vaccine. It doesn't always work very well. That's why it's been controversial of late. But like many illnesses, the best news out there is if you can take care of yourself so that when you do end up running into the flu, you can overwhelm it."

It’s not our duty to just smile and nod when a man with this much power demonstrates that he’s a pathological liar and an imbecile. Quite the contrary. Real patriots say out loud this is just plain nuts and he’s unfit to hold office.
Trump: "It's funny, I settled 8 wars. Some were going on for 35 years. And we got them settled in a couple of days. Some of them -- one was going on for 37 years. I settled it in one day. But this is a very complex one."

Honestly, what the hell are people even asking me at this point? We know what radicalized McVeigh. It wasn’t the “Vietnam civil rights era”
A lot of the milieux that McVeigh and his co-conspirators fell into came out of that Vietnam/Civil Rights era, didn't they?

This is what I mean about utterly stupid and ahistorical comments. McVeigh wasn’t even born until 1968. He was radicalized by Ruby Ridge and Waco, not Vietnam. Good Lord, people read a freaking book.
And much the right wing types who felt betrayed by Vietnam were also White Supremacists. Like Louis Beam in TX who tried to terrorize Vietnamese immigrants and the world that sprouted Timothy McVeigh. -OS
People who lived through the late 1960s and 1970s had reason to feel distrust of the government, including the fact it sent 50,000 men to die in a war it lost.

People who like to quote Reagan’s 1981 inaugural about “government being the problem“ never include the phrase that precedes it:

“in this present crisis”

Reagan was an FDR democrat for too long to be a Tea Party anarchist.
There is a big difference between distrusting the government bc of Nixon (and LBJ, in the end), where it was particular people who did crimes or bombed Cambodia; and the distrust of bureaucrats in general. Most of us who distrusted gov in the 60s and 70s still felt the gov could do good things.

Prettttttty sure that Hudson had a fake marriage in 1958 and stayed in the closet for decades for reasons that didn't have much to do with the Reagans, but maybe everything that ever happened is because of Ronald Reagan
Because the Reagan's were shit humans. Nancy was the worst of them (BJ queen of Hollywood).

I remember the 80s. It doesn't surprise me that we're still learning about actors that had to remain closeted their entire careers, their lives, because of the fearmongering brought by the Reagans.
