Trump take game. But seriously late capitalism is built on placating treats and when the treats start going away...
trump take fun
Listen up my pedantic loves, the messaging here is very simple, very clear:

The Nintendo Switch 2 is expensive because of Donald Trump.

This is Trump's fault.

Say it a thousand times in every gaming community you exist in. Be mean. This is their fault.

But wait I thought the Democratic Party didn't need the left. Huh, well, maybe the party needs to incorporate some policy positions from the left in, I dunno, a new thing I just made up called "coalition governance."
Bernie’s Bad Idea: The Left Should Leave the Democratic Party
Democrats desperately need solidarity and stable membership. It’s a terrible time for progressives to abandon a party they may soon dominate.

Fucking ghouls
Watching an administration of violent, sieg heiling christo-fascists use Jewish vernacular while enacting Nazi policies against a marginalized group is more obscene than anything I could ever draw. Hope they all get what they richly deserve. 👍

This is all Project 2025, yes, but also part of Curtis Yarvin's fever dream of R.A.G.E. = Retire All Government Employees. The next, or maybe simultaneous, move is "GovCorp," rule by our tech oligarchs.

There is, of course, a world of difference between " pay out the full schedule of every t-sec and we don't need rich peoples' money to do it" and "lol half these securities are fake so we're not gonna pay." Or, for the Hegelians, we're looking at the bad infinity of de-dollarization

I can say that publishing in law journals doesn't mean squat when it comes to getting tenure in a social science department -- for this very reason.
Peer review is, believe me, imperfect.

But legal academia is distinctly—and unacceptably—vulnerable to crackpottery bc the editors who decide what counts as good scholarship are … 2Ls and 3Ls.

Most article acceptances have zero-point-zero faculty involvement. None.
So their strategy now is to create the illusion of some genuine controversy, which doesn’t exist. What exist are a tiny handful of obscure journal articles by D-tier academic crackpots having a little mutual admiration society for the legal equivalent of flat earth theory.

That’s it; Americans have by and large been disciplined to spend thousands a year on deductibles/premiums and think of that as normal
i think this tells me one of two things (1) 60% of people have never had a critical adverse decision and (2) they think all private insurance is roughly the same so any "minor" squabbles wouldn't be solved by switching. Plus almost a century of propaganda against Canada and Europe's horrors.
“Everyone hates their health insurer” isn’t even close to true, is the thing.
