helps to think about the details like any regular crime you'd see on one of the 800 cop shows that run on TV constantly: these guys committed one set of murders, thought it over, and then decided to kill the witnesses as part of the coverup. mention of drugs is just jingling keys at this point

Also, come to think of it, this is a very bad apology. “I’m sorry that I’m so zealous for Palestinian rights that I reposted that Jews created prostitution.“

Tonight, we did something everyone counted out. We proved to a nation that states like Tennessee are still worth fighting for. The margin was close, and that can only be attributed to the thousands of volunteers who showed out. This is just the beginning.

Woah. Newsmax’s legal analyst just said Pete Hegseth and everyone involved in the illegal boat strike should be “prosecuted for a war crime.”

They’ve even lost Newsmax on this one.

If you ever wondered what GOP gerrymandering looks like in red states with blue cities, I present:

If I see one single person from a blue state being weird if the Dems don't win in spite of a near 20 point swing, I'm gonna sweep the leg I swear to God.

Y'all leave TN alone they are causing apocalyptic damage to the GOP tonight no matter WHAT happens

This is why I support freedom of expression.

Appropriately, it is the chaos of a system that supports free speech that gives rise to the grand process of democratic self-governance and the ideally upward arc of human progress and flourishing.

Yesterday a Stoppard play, today a tweet.

The White House’s new anti-media website includes denunciations of:

-ABC, which bribed the president
-CBS, which bribed the president and moved away from fact-based journalism trying to appeal to him and his fans
-WaPo, which spiked a Harris endorsement and tilts coverage in Trump’s favor

Fools.

I'm really glad to see someone like Kelly finally saying this. bsky.app/profile/atru...
Mark Kelly: "This president, when he says things like 'third world countries,' what is he really saying? I think what he's saying is he doesn't want brown people in our country. And that's disturbing. It's un-American."

we still haven't moved past the double meaning problem here---the people who want Zohran to be "tougher on antisemitism" really mean "silent on Israeli genocide."
WELKER: What is your message to Jewish New Yorkers who feel you won't be tough enough in your response to antisemitism?

MAMDANI: That I am looking forward to being the next mayor and fulfilling the commitment I've made to Jewish New Yorkers to not only protect them but to celebrate and cherish them

Yeah, people comparing Mamdani's visit to Whitmer's are comparing apples and Buicks.

She didn't control the narrative, was viewed not only as subservient, but HID HER FACE in press photos.

Mamdani dogwalked Trump with his charisma and media training, and came out of there winner of the day.
Mamdani controlled the narrative, controlled the optics, looked charming, comfortable and confident AF and somehow managed to get Trump to speak *his* language -- prices, affordability, building houses -- all while standing on business, denouncing genocide and calling a fascist.. a fascist. Amazing.

It's Trans Day of Remembrance. Today we remember those who were taken from us far too soon because of transphobia in the world.

For many of us, we are misgendered even in death, and disallowed from being who we actually are even when we are no longer here. This is why we remember our dead.
