I love Freddy D 'cause he's brilliant, flawed, messy, and fly. So totally human, which means he's also immensely frustrating at times.

My goodness the man could stare down a camera like nobody's business.

Courageous, clear-eyed, and hopeful about our "glorious liberty document." 🖤
Happy birthday to one of the greatest, Frederick Douglass. Born into slavery, he didn't know his actual birthday, but chose to celebrate it on this day.

Please read his books and essays; please teach your children his story when they are old enough to understand.

Sean Dyche out at Forest, but this is what happens when the owner of a club holds absolute power, I guess.

Nottingham Forest head for the little seen "Four-Manager Season"
Nottingham Forest have sacked Sean Dyche, who some might argue is exactly the manager they need to get them out of the position that they're in right now.

The amount of bandwidth spent in this generation on essentially having a 1950s Headmaster approach to everything and being zealots around making sure “young lefties”* must have nothing and like it.

* - am using that term extremely broadly
It's devastating to me how much public money is being wasted in the British legal system purely on maintaining maximally destructive stances on human rights in service to the political ideology of the regime.

Haven’t changed my mind that there’s a good case that every senior member of staff on the men’s side should have been sacked.
One day there will be a reckoning for how Arsenal Football Club dealt with this case. And I’m afraid that includes the manager

👇🏾 Also notable that for all the grief Arsenal men get online, I don’t ever see any about this. It’s probably the one fair criticism you can have of the club.
We'd like to say or think this dark episode with Partey is over for Arsenal as a club but the reality is we should be far from it, and there needs to be some accountability had for the way we protected and promoted this man, and the message we have sent to women & girls.

The other day a Ukrainian volunteer at the #WinterOlympics cried as she told me how, in the middle of a bitter winter, people were saving their power of their generators so they could watch their athletes compete.
This decision seems like a slap in the face for an invaded and suffering people.
