Just some middle-aged Gen X'er whose primary purpose in life is to be a worthwhile homestead partner and pet parent.

Also still does super amateur-level videography by request. I know how to frame a shot, but have more intuition than disciplined skill.

Yet with the woes of sin and strife
the world has suffered long;
beneath the heavenly hymn have rolled
two thousand years of wrong;
and man at war with man hears not
the tidings which they bring;
O hush the noise and cease the strife
and hear the angels sing!

with respect to the old heads but still doing coke into your 40s & 50s produces the most pathetic types of people you’ve ever met - and that’s literally the entire operating core of the White House, uniquely embarrassing

1. New federal rules were released last week banning gender affirming care for youth at hospitals nationwide.

Those rules don't go into effect until public comment, months from now.

But it appears Sec. Kennedy is using an arcane process to try to implement them immediately.

Our latest story.
HHS Sec. Kennedy Attempts To Stop Trans Youth Care In Hospitals Nationwide—Before New Federal Rules Take Effect
Like many of the Trump regime’s attempted powergrabs, this kind of piecemeal and disheveled rulemaking is enforced at least in part by fear and sheer uncertainty.

Also, I'm a pretty big Cameron fan, and I didn't know how much he seems to love Carpenter's "Halloween".

The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.
