I sure love this about face by the city! Though the guy who long owned it is described as a "businessman" I don’t think he’s done a day of work in his life, born with the silver spoon his brother turned into gold. Brighter future ahead!
The $64 million sale of the hotly contested Talaris property surprised housing advocates who had long been fighting for a more forward-thinking urban vision as opposed to planned luxury single-unit residences, raising questions about the property’s future.

Ferguson proposing $3 billion in bonds for highways and vehicle ferries and then proposing to divert hundreds of millions in Climate Commitment Act dollars a few days later is such an incredible one-two punch.

Ask yourself: why do cops have(not only) taxpayer funded PR departments, but ALSO shadowy corporate retail partnerships that push for a veneer of “legitimacy” ?

*also don’t forget that Target 🚽
“It’s about reshaping how the police are perceived, without in any way questioning what the police actually do to produce that perception,” he said.
“These folks are totally unaccountable to the public because of how they are concealing where their interests lie and where their money is coming from,” Professor Orisanmi Burton told Prism.

Reminder that we are a year into aggressive ICE raids and concentration camps, and there’s not a single example of local cops protecting people against this violence, kidnapping, or death.

there’s so many reasons we need to abolish ICE
ICE agents illegally break into a woman's bathroom in a NY nutrition bar manufacturing plant. "Pull up your pants," says a male agent. The agents only had a warrant to review employer documents. They didn't have a warrant to search for, detain, or arrest anyone there.

It is important to understand that these are all lies. Deans don't tell applicants why they don't get a job that they applied for. The job market doesn't react to PhD defenses with phone calls for interviews. This is all false. These people are liars, and they are lying to you to start a race panic.
You’ll never guess who else experienced ‘racism’ on the job market despite their unimpeachable academic credentials.

The only “staffing crisis” politicians seem to care about is at the police department.

Homelessness services are critically understaffed. Workers deal with many of the same populations and issues for half the money.

We're all supposed to be 100% in tune with white men's feelings. We're supposed to care about them at the expense of our own. We are supposed to live in fear of them getting upset. Treating their feelings as grenades that can go off at any time. They on the other hand do not need to care about ours.
