We have cleaned up the crime scene and blocked a local investigation and hidden the perpetrator and invaded the state and that is how you know that we are acting in good faith and that everything was the victim’s fault.

This is the way and every single Democrat should be on board.

It won't get anywhere before the midterms, but it will make the midterms easier for Democrats to win and easier to take action on these promises once they do.

Be the party of accountability. Own that space, starting now.

As a taxpayer, I would actually prefer that you *not* continue to fund the fascist military machine that is being used to kill and kidnap people from our communities.

Attention Every Congressional Staffer: Immediately schedule visits for your rep to your ice facility in your area if there is one for every day from now until the end of their term and yes I mean schedule a visit every single fucking day
NEWS: A day after the Minneapolis shooting, Secretary Noem quietly signed a new policy barring congressional visits to ICE facilities without a week's advance notice. That policy change led to three MN Dems being blocked from accessing an ICE facility today. www.politico.com/news/2026/01...

If Democratic donors truly understood the power of media in politics, they would be filling this void with a Democratic-leaning newspaper in a swing state. Instead, at best, we are left hoping Republicans don't do that.

In no particular order: Needless to say, this is a(nother) illegal usurpation of congressional power about which congressional Republicans will do nothing. I have no idea what the long-term consequences for Venezuela will be. That said, "We're going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper, and judicious transition" does not seem like good policy (or domestic politics), given previous American attempts to do so.

If we had any sense that despite everything the media still gives Trump an absurdly generous benefit of the doubt, it’s been confirmed.

For all that the media has spent years freaking out about what social media does to our brains, I don’t understand why there appears to be little effort to grapple with the fact that these chatbots are, for some not insignificant portion of the population, literally psychosis machines

It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.

The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.
