This should be the biggest story in the country right now. The sitting US President was extorting state lawmakers from his own party by threatening to withhold public money if they didn’t gerrymander for him.

I don’t know how else to say it…

GLASHEEN: Antifa is our primary concern right now. That's the most immediate violent threat we're facing

BENNIE THOMPSON: Where is antifa headquartered?

GLASHEEN: ... ... ... we are building out the infrastructure right now

THOMPSON: What does that mean?

There's a post over on Twitter that I've been laughing to myself about. Some right-wing guy is celebrating that a school took down "All-Gender" bathroom signs and replaced them with "Single Occupancy Restroom" signs. And like... it's the same thing, man. You're celebrating a pointless relabeling.

we all got cowed into avoiding "virtue signaling" as if the public affirmation of socially agreed upon ethical principles was somehow cringey instead of a significant part of what a "society" even is. now all there's left is vice signaling, and it's reshaping society.

Facebook is going to dump ungodly amounts of money in smart glasses and only freaks will buy them. Every time I hear someone talk about this topic I feel like I’m going insane. Same with Alexa, that’s just a smart speaker/timer that serves as hole for Amazon to dump money into.

In terms of what’s understood to be socially acceptable behavior, normalizing the filming/taking pictures of people in public who are minding their own business (and putting it online) is one of the worst developments of the past 15 years.

I think it’s bad that leaders of companies are visibly up to their gills in stimulants now. Did nobody tell them that, contrary to how they make you feel, those things make you stupid? This is why everyone needs some fuck up friends growing up, to teach them that there’s no good way to abuse drugs.

The workers at my local Starbucks are on strike, asking for more staffing, better pay, and better benefits. However, it's expensive to be on strike. If you've got some change, you could help them out a bit here, as they're pretty far off their goal right now:
