Tried to play capture the flag barefoot, jumped over a log but caught my big toe hard enough to break it and rupture all the tendons.
I had to have full blown surgery to reconnect the tendons and insert metal rods to stabilize the toe. The rods stuck out the end of my foot like tacks for 3 months.
