Age verification just hit Bluesky in my state and I’m not giving this place my fucking driver’s license so if you wanna DM me you should do it elsewhere.

The Running Man is Edgar Wright’s Idiocracy. I swear I don’t mean it as an insult when I say I’m shocked how dumb this movie is for one of his productions. A lot of unforced errors in exposition dumps and weird editing choices. Still better than Last Night in Soho.

I’ve been increasingly disappointed with how millennials seem to be falling for nostalgia even harder than their baby boomer parents. IMO it is your imperative as an appreciator of art if not a human being to continue seeking out new experiences and communicate with your fellow humans through art.
We’re creating a new generation of 80s movie guy fans who can’t stop playing with their toys and will continue to subject everyone to nostalgia-slop in perpetuity with increasingly diminishing results and quality. They’re doing it with this show RIGHT NOW!

Everybody loves The Princess Bride. Your parents love it. Your in-laws love it. Your neighbor with no hobbies loves it. Your dipshit co-worker who claims he’s “apolitical” but let Joe Rogan convince him to vote for Trump loves it. It’s basically the perfect film.

BREAKING: The Democratic National Committee will NOT release its long-awaited autopsy on Trump's 2024 win. The report is completed but Dem leaders decided it could distract from their winning streak, so it will remain secret. Not good.
If people are getting sexist in their criticisms for Sleep Token by calling it “metal for girls” then that sucks but I’m gonna file that under how you can always approach criticism of anything in a shitty way and it doesn’t change that their music is horrendous and the singer does blackface.

"One Voice" — painted this a couple of weeks ago, but couldn’t find the right moment to share it. On the 17th was the second anniversary of James' passing, so that felt like the right time 🖤

Remedy I love you but you truly are the WOAT when it comes to naming your settings. “This town is a middle-class suburban idyll so we’ll call it Ordinary.” “This town is flooded so we’re naming it Watery.” Come the fuck on guys.

I do think the strategy of defeating AI by spreading the knowledge that it doesn’t even work is effective, similar to how NFTs fell once people realized you couldn’t actually make money on them. But I am worried about the long-term sustainability of that argument.

Love this economy where I have to put up with my boss getting pissed at me for not answering Teams messages/calls within ten seconds because absolutely nobody else is hiring.

Folks I emphasize as always, if you don't actually show up for the things you want, they stop getting made. Sometimes you gotta be okay with taking a chance on that 7/10 game knowing it's the only way those creators get to keep making the stuff you wanna see
