My unpopular pop culture take is that I think Star Trek: The Motion Picture is actually a brilliant film and is probably the closest thing to an actual science fiction movie in the entire franchise.

i remember when the computer still demanded blood. my dad's Tandy took a mere pinprick from your finger, which was a revolutionary advancement from the bulky machines of the 80's that required a thimbleful to access usenet for a day. that itself was an improvement on the pint needed to join ARPANET

I don’t particularly like The Traitors anyway, but its use of ‘a faithful’ bothers me. You’re either ‘faithful’ or ‘one of the faithful’, surely. You can’t be ‘a damned’.

I find it quite amusing that there’s an overlap in cited authors between a book on physics and my undergraduate dissertation on the history of equitable remedies.
