The Trump regime is reportedly planning to gut a unit within the DOJ that prosecutes corruption by elected officials.

This comes after Trump's DOJ dropped bribery charges against Eric Adams and suspended enforcement of a foreign anti-bribery law.

I can't stress this enough. The country and the world is not being shown just how much pushback is happening. You have to share it when you encounter it. They all think we're taking this lying down and we are not.
American and International news is hiding the pushback. They want the world to think most of us are fine with what’s happening. Share what you see. Film it. Find it. Post it.

“DOGE Has 10 Staffers at Social Security in Hunt for Dead People,” the headlines read this past week.

One of these supposed "dead people" is very much alive and living in Seattle. www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news...
I found a ‘dead’ person collecting Social Security in Seattle
“Dead” Ned Johnson turns out to be very much alive. It took him weeks to convince the system he was breathing and to start clawing his benefits back.

In this interview Schumer says he agrees with Trump’s decision to pull $400 million from Columbia. A university in his own state. And he’s unconcerned about the unlawful arrest of Mahmoud Khalil, one of his constituents.

He is a traitor who needs to resign.

Politics hasn't been this simple in a long time: do you think it's good for one man to exercise unchecked, arbitrary power or not. Those are the two available ideologies right now

The Democrats should introduce a bill that every time someone who claims to be against pronouns uses a pronoun, they have to take a shot. In session, they either have a third party counter to tally and the person drinks afterward, or they have buzzers to interrupt.

It’s so weird the way Phony Stark has it out for USAID, I wonder why. Could it be THIS!?!?

In the 1980s, USAID was responsible for financing projects that apartheid victims viewed as critical in promoting social, political, and economic change through peaceful means.

Right now we’re witnessing the difference between authority and power.

Elon Musk does not have the legal authority to do any of the things he is doing. He is not authorized to shut down USAID. He is not authorized to take over OPM. He has no legal authority to access all our data and payments.

Trump is deprioritizing the deportation of actually dangerous people on order to ensure that all undocumented people are afraid.

And he’s prioritizing deportations of non-dangerous people over enforcement of all other crimes.

The man is committed to his racism.

given the arguments democrats just presented, if you have a republican congressperson calling them right now and saying, "my representative needs to vote no on the HR28 sports bill—because genital inspections for kids are sick" might be a really solid idea.

It goes beyond just PrEP. The SCOTUS case coming out of this implicates cost-free preventative care writ-large. @adamserwer.bsky.social has been right for nearly a decade on this: The cruelty is the point.

MAGA’s entire ethos is to inflict pain and suffering on “out groups” simply because they can.
Right wing extremists are trying to block access to PrEP, which all but eliminates HIV risk.

It’s part of their Make America Sick Again agenda.

PrEP can end HIV infections globally. These zealots don’t want that. They want to go back to the 1950s. They want people to get HIV as punishment for sin.
SCOTUS Takes Up Case Challenging the ACA’s No-Cost Coverage of PrEP
Two Christian-owned companies are challenging the Affordable Care Act’s mandate that insurers cover certain preventive services — including PrEP — at no cost.

Partner got us *amazing* seats for Trans-Siberian Orchestra! And then they said they split donations so 50c of every tkt went to the fucking Salvation Army, only 50c to Guilda’s Club (local charity).

It really made the show about returning home and loving your children come across as hypocritical.

Shit, we’re bringing the rest of society back to the 1930’s, why not roll back our vaccinations and medical sciences while we’re at it.
During 2020, I read so much about the polio. Vaccine to give me hope we could get a vaccine for covid. And now this...
This reveals that RFK’s whole “oh you can get a vaccine if you want to, just no mandates” thing is bullshit because he’s going after the vaccines themselves.

Vaccines which, for the record, are one of the keystones to our civilization. Particularly regarding the survival of children.
