Weaver House, the yarn shop and weaving school that has drawn fiber arts enthusiasts from around the world, announced it will shut its doors for good in December.

Founder Rachel Snack hopes that a weaving or teaching enthusiast might buy these Macomber looms and start their own weaving school.
Are you looking to buy looms? The Weaver House in the Bok building is closing.
The shop owner is looking for a single buyer for the floor looms acquired from the University of the Arts after the school shuttered.

The “pivot to video” has been a nightmare. I can read faster than the narrator is speaking; let me read the words for myself!
I just clicked on a link on the NYT app (I know, I know) and instead of an article it was a video. Didn’t they used to make it clear you were choosing to watch a video? Honestly, expecting to read and instead being forced to watch feels like the worst bait & switch.

Sex toys are being hurled on the court at WNBA games. A cryptocurrency group says they're behind it – and planning for more.

The group says the acts are "pranks" intended to draw attention to their crypto meme coin and not meant to disrespect women athletes.

To everyone in PA, I know there is a ridiculous amount going on right now BUT, please take a minute (a literal minute) to contact our state reps about funding septa.

Transit is absolutely necessary for a functioning Philly, *and* for meeting climate goals.

The ACA was cool because before the ACA insurance could exclude pregnancy so women had to buy separate maternity policies just in case they got pregnant, and pregnancy itself could be used as a pre-existing condition to deny you future coverage or charge you higher rates.
The ACA was cool because before the ACA EVERY SINGLE CHILD WITH CANCER hit their annual and lifetime limits almost immediately and were denied insurance for the rest of their lives and after the ACA that’s illegal.
