Anyone that knows Michigan Football knows there's a contingent of boosters that feel like they own the program and demand a say in everything it does. Sherrone Moore getting the job without their input very likely made things awful for him in this regard.

He got the trainer pregnant, though.
"What we haven't heard yet is Sherrone Moore's side of this. And he gets his say in this particular situation as well. I do know he felt like people had it in for him for an awful long time."

- Adam Schefter on the firing of Sherrone Moore

You have to wonder if Michigan will try to get a currently unemployed NFL head coach to replace Moore simply so they are not setting up unintended consequences of say some zealots of whichever university whose head coach they took deciding not to blame and wanting to take out this on certain people.
Michigan football, now-former coach Sherrone Moore, & most of all this young woman, Paige Shiver, are all having a terrible, awful, no good, very bad day today. The only one I feel sorry for is her. She made a mistake, a bad one but nevertheless a mistake. What's coming next will be awful for her.

One of the smaller things that sticks out from the Sherrone Moore-lied is the fact that the affair partner was inviting people within the department to the baby shower via email *from her official university email account to their official university email accounts*.

Calling the press “fake news” is harmful. Calling them “seditious, perhaps even treasonous” for publishing reporting is something else entirely. Treason is a capital crime. Suggesting journalists should face it for exercising their First Amendment rights and doing their jobs is dangerous.

It would be the last #1 for the Beach Boys until "Kokomo" hit #1 in Oct. 1988, setting a then-record of 21 years and 10 months between #1 songs. It would be surpassed in 2002 when Elvis got to #1 with a remix of his 1968 song "A Little Less Conersation," 32+ years after "Suspicious Minds" in 1969.
“Good Vibrations” hits #1 today in ‘66.

“.. one of the greatest pop singles ever made,” said George Martin. “I remember thinking, ‘My God, this is the future of music.’ .. the textures, the changes, the sounds you’d never heard before — it opened up possibilities for every musician who came after.”
