just a quick rundown for ya: a “right” is when you have the freedom to do something without being punished by the government
While non-citizens have First Amendment rights, exercising those rights (e.g., protesting or expressing controversial views) can lead to immigration consequences if the government deems the activity a basis for deportation.

Killing Medicaid, killing vaccines, killing Social Security: It all has one purpose. The Nazis called people who required public assistance Lebensunwertes Leben: Lives unworthy of living. They had another term too, for people unable to work — Unnütze Esser: useless eaters. The elderly, the disabled.

I’m not going to hyper-focus on every action and word of this administration, especially since there are no consequences, but it’s hard to say that the white South African who has been spouting Nazi shit publicly for a while now somehow accidentally did a gesture similar to the Nazi salute twice

i feel like i'm losing my mind. barack obama had a 70% approval rating on inauguration day; gop strategy was absolute intransigence, treat him as illegitimate, one-term president, etc. trump is damaged goods and a lame duck. we should fight like hell.
There is an emerging conventional wisdom that resistance to Trump went too far and I am going to lose my mind.

There was and still is a general hysteria that when a GOP president is elected, EVERYONE must immediately bend the knee and if a Dem president wins it's always "Well actually, a strong opposition party is critical to our republic"
"Some random people had ideas I disagreed with" is not the same as political overreach. Trump's election was not overturned and the investigation into his (very real!) connections to Russia yielded no consequences.

the important question isn’t “did Harris lose because the left is too woke?” it’s “why isn’t Donald Trump in federal prison?” We’re being subjected to lectures about politics by the people who held all of the power and let this dipshit slip through their grasp.
