I’d say it’s unbelievable except it happens again and again and again. The erasure is deliberate.
Some U.S. media (such as the Washington Post here) trace U.S.-Iranian animosity back to the 1979 Islamic Revolution, conveniently forgetting that the CIA helped overthrow a democratically elected Iranian government in 1953, forcing Iranians to endure decades of the Shah’s brutal rule.

WOW. Rep. @jayapal.house.gov says CBP's internal affairs department found that a Chinese woman who had overstayed a visa was arrested by Border Patrol and hung herself in a cell. She wasn't found for two hours—even though the records reported multiple welfare checks (suggesting records falsified?).

The cruelty is the point and they’ll do it in the most stupid way possible.
I call this “smooth-brain supremacy” because to actually believe your race/gender etc is superior to another you need to be really fucking stupid and/or delusional.

Everyone wants there to be a grand scheme behind all of this but the terrible truth is that extremely stupid people are in charge and they have a fanatical devotion to wrong, childlike concepts of society and economics cooked up by right wing radio hosts in order to sell tainted dietary supplements

This is also something people need to recall: bombing Yemen is not simply a "Trump thing." Biden ordered numerous attacks against them, and as Sheryl noted our (U.S. and Saudi) attacks on Yemen go back over TWO DECADES.
The biggest problem with putting plans for bombing Yemen in a group chat is that THE UNITED STATES HAS BOMBED YEMEN ALMOST FIVE HUNDRED TIMES SINCE 2002, NOT INCLUDING THE ILLEGAL CLUSTER MUNITIONS AND OTHER WEAPONS WE GAVE THE SAUDIS TO ALSO USE TO BOMB YEMEN.
