there were a couple weeks where i tried Perplexity to see if AI search engines were any good.

They aren't.

If you disagree let me make something clear: I am better at searching than you.
one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

anti-sex and anti-kink is conservative, example number one billion.
Hidden in the controversial about UK "choking ban" proposal are a host of even more egregious proposals that could:

* make camming illegal
* redefine escort ads as pimping
* render model contracts unenforceable
* criminalize discussions of teen sexuality

And a whole lot more ...
Moral panic about rough sex gives way to censorship in the UK
British regulators and lawmakers are hot on a measure that would make possessing or publishing strangulation porn a crime.

I don't care how much you believe gender criticals protect women*, once you are admitting to knowingly putting kids at greater risk of harm for your ideology, you need to be removed from any position of power over their care.

*They're not, they're calling for all women's bodies to be policied!!

I never thought I'd see a type of One Piece fan who makes the Agenda Piece lot look sane and reasonable, but it being Peter Thiel does make a certain amount of sense

Seen people rightly bring up Northern Ireland, but frankly I'm fascinated that Labour also aren't thinking about losing further ground to Plaid Cymru & the SNP

Unfortunately one of the problems with covering meme culture is that it's nature means as soon as reporters started learning to do so responsibly, people online would simply add a few more layers of nonsense and irony onto it making it confusing again
Important point this. Reporters had to learn to cover suicide responsibility and to name the victim not the mass shooter. By and large we still haven’t learned how to deal responsibly with meme culture
It feels like they're simultaneously so online they think it's the biggest story every, but not online enough to understand the meme culture around all this so they can cover it responsibly

Unlike the others Nandy has understood that Starmer's vision is based on movement and is therefore standing statue-still.
Kyle is going to Business. Replacing Jonny Reynolds.

Incredibly Lisa Nandy is staying at DCMS - she was the one person everyone thought would be moved.

It has been four hours now since the Church of England leaked the names and email addresses of almost 200 survivors of church abuse.

No bishop or safeguarding official has resigned.

The church has made no statement.

Worst of all, none of the survivors affected has been contacted to offer support.

It's simple, if you throw paint on a plane then you get proscribed and any 80 year olds defending you get arrested.

If you ask people to burn down hotels, and they try, you get an interview in the Telegraph and positive coverage in the BBC.

That's sensible, proportionate policing.

Remember when I quit the Labour Party years ago and said it was institutionally transphobic and people told me that it wasn’t, the problem was just Rosie Duffield, and that I should stay and fight? Well, well, well.
Asked if Keir Starmer still believes that a trans woman is a woman, his spokesman replies "no".

Says that trans women must now use men's bathrooms

Important to remember: it's correct to blame the government for this ruling as long as it stands because they have the power and the giant majority through which they can change the law. The fact they won't tells us all we need to know.
