Now that I'm overseeing several mission critical systems here in the house--a Plex server, STBs, an iPad that needs to be able to see YouTube, etc--I get why IT professionals are the way they are. I should start making the kids file tickets.

The concept of Nightreign is really interesting to me, because it looks like it's leaning into the connected multiverse idea, throwing Dark Souls bosses into Elden Ring without pretense. It feels like potentially a way to reduce dev costs to allow more freedom with such an experimental game concept.

Take your budget, subtract monitors and other peripherals and then divide by 2. Spend that much on a killer GPU and then build up from there. Ryzen, RTX card, M.2 SSD. Some good suggestions in this thread.

You guessed it! We're doing more snowy castle track design for today's #NightmareKart dev thread!
To start, I polished up the exterior of the castle. Added some texture variation and vertex paint to the big wall and closed off the geometry gaps on the cliff side, check it out!

if u wanted to get into game dev but felt that the math was too intimidating and u really like those pannenkoek mario code breakdown videos then may i suggest just downloading a game engine and giving it a shot?
