The R word was used so much when I was growing up and I was impressed by efforts to make it go away that seemed to be working. In recent years it had become rare to hear it anymore (publicly at least) and now it's back (& not just from the president) & I hate it so much.

I would be able to put more money back into the economy, and, very specifically, be able to afford art from independent artists. If there was UBI, I'd think very seriously about actually writing and self-publishing a novel, because I'd be able to pay for an editor and cover designer.
Honest question: If everyone got Universal Basic Income, no strings attached, what would YOU do with it?
