This is purely a safety issue. You simply cannot sit in the exit row if the crew doesn’t trust you to follow their instructions. His refusal to get off signaled that he might pose a danger to the flight.
kashhill.bsky.social
This is absolutely wild. I’m on a cross country flight. We are being diverted midway through to Denver. The reason? Some dude is sitting in the exit row who didn’t pay the $155 fee and he refuses to move back to his seat.
ytpjason.bsky.social
It’s literally a safety issue. Airlines cannot have people who won’t comply with flight crew instructions in an exit row

I don’t like all these white people hating on Taylor Swift. It feels like cultural appropriation

I asked this question in 2020 and again in 2024: what issues can you say, definitively, that the Democratic party stands for?

I think we can reasonably say abortion and social security. Everything else is negotiable, and they failed at protecting abortion.

And and and how many issues are gonna be hit with “they shouldn’t stand up for that bc it will hurt them in the election” before it looks like they’re spineless and struggling to stand for anything?

(They already look like this)

The logic of "Democrats shouldn't stand up for trans rights because it will hurt them in elections" makes no sense. There are NO voters who are ready to vote for Democrats but decide not to because they just can't get on board with support for trans rights. Those people are Republicans.

It’s a "crisis" when immigrants "take jobs away", but "innovation" when machines do. Funny.

twice a year the entire U.S. press becomes a marketing extension of a single billionaire-owned retailer, and nobody in any position of editorial power thinks it's weird or gross

It’s easy to forget because we spent 20 years sending National Guardsmen to Iraq and Afghanistan but these people are not real professional soldiers. They’re a bunch of unfit, poorly trained dork ass losers

She’s supposed to read trans. The guy in the middle is supposed to read Muslim and the guy on the right is supposed to read gay. Normal people, for sure, but they got their message out.

More propaganda with painfully normal people zip-tied at the side of the road please, this will for sure convince the American people that you're the good guys

Abolish the entire department of homeland security, and enact a federal law prohibiting law enforcement officers from wearing face coverings on duty, and requiring any officer who isn’t undercover to wear uniforms featuring their name and agency.
billcorbett.bsky.social
Minimum demands from here on:
- Abolish ICE immediately
- Prosecute and jail all ICE leaders nationwide, and any ICE goon who can be proven to have violated the Constitution
- Prosecute and jail all Trump administration officials responsible, inc. Cabinet level
- Abolish Dept of Homeland Security

The subhed here is a master class in corporate journalism rewarding malfeasance via semantics

Bondi didn't valiantly fend something off, she refused to answer legitimate questions before Congress because the answers would be horrifying and politically inconvenient

And that's a profile in cowardice

Strongly agree. They’re also way too low on the injury-prone guys like Embiid, Zion and AD.

If we get Joel Embiid at 75%, playing 65 games, that’s still a top 10 player.

Absolutely absurd to think that eight players, including Anthony Edwards, Donovan Mitchell, Jalen Brunson and Cade Cunningham will be better than Wemby this season.

We've got six OKC players in our projection for 2025-26:

No team has more representation.

It should be noted that the DOJ also has a 99% conviction rate, largely for the same reason that Japan does; they don’t just charge people with a bunch of bullshit and hope it sticks
katesofheaven.bsky.social
conservatives like to cite the 99% conviction rate japan has as proof that america is too woke on criminality, but the united states would also have a conviction rate above 99% if it were measured like japan's.

no, the issue is a broader need to leave behind those we deem too unfortunate to save

The combination of the internet and “zero tolerance” fighting policies have created a world where all it takes is ill-intent to be a bully. You don’t need physical might or even social capital. You just have to be loud and nasty. It’s a society of middle-school mean girls.
ytpjason.bsky.social
It has also conditioned us to think it’s normal for people to use what used to be considered “fighting words”. There was a whole legal principle built around saying wildly offensive shit and getting popped in the mouth. Now you’re “triggered” if you respond the way reasonable adults have always done

She was such a minor figure in the media landscape and they hated her into dominance
