So the Epstein files dump

1. Protected a lot of predictors

2. Created another partisan food fight.

3. Failed to create any obvious pathway for these women to get accountability.

4. Included a number of clearly unverified claims that can be used to undermine the very legit emails

We need a better way to get the 3800+ kids out of ICE detention than this. We know Liam’s name and we can advocate on his behalf, but that isn’t true of almost any of the other people stuck in detention centers.

We have to stop ICE on a systemic level.

Let’s not forget that ICE Director Todd Lyons said he wanted to run deportations like “Amazon Prime for human beings”.

People are not packages.

They have rights.

They deserve basic human decency.

This is a significant escalation.

This Epstein drop is HUGE and utterly disgusting. I don’t see how this man is allowed to remain in office. Where are the evangelical leaders, the soccer moms, the folks stocking up on eggs, the farmers, the small business owners.

Decide. Who are you?

No offense to Kang, he works hard.

But how is it that our major pundits are the ones who got the Trump predictions wrong, not the people who got the Trump predictions right?!

According to this new JAMA study, the US reaches this incalculable loss annually. I think most of the public doesn't realize it.

There is so much happening that it can be hard to see, but I really need people to understand the huge acceleration of the takeover happening right now. They are literally speedrunning a full, balls-out authoritarian takeover at the moment. I don't think any of us are fully ready.
This week: we execute a U.S. citizen.

Next week: we take over elections to stop “fraud.”

It's so transparent what's going on here.

I came across this quote from Langston Hughes. His day was a long time ago & he's still saying the Black experience of America is fascism. I share to show fascism has been in discourse to refer to here a while. Trump is not its inventor. You will not be rid of it without doing right by Black people.

I genuinely believe the way out of this political moment is to pick up the causes our oppressors want us to leave behind—movements like #MeToo and Black Lives Matter.

After #MeToo, what has changed?
While #MeToo went viral in 2017, the Me Too movement has been around for 20 years. This hour, we explore the role social media can play for survivors and what, if anything, has changed.
