This paper is part of a huge surge forward in scientific understanding of disease. We have gone from not knowing EBV causes MS to unlocking **how** EBV causes MS, *like that*. 1/2

I lost my job, I can't afford health insurance, and my son is about to get deployed to Venezuela. But at least I know I'll be able to buy Coca-Cola made with real cane sugar now.

As I'm also a 50'ish Australian called Tim and a wanker I'm uniquely qualified to tell this bloke to take a walk in the smug hall of mirrors that leads into the sea.
Tim Minchin talks to Mark Beaumont about escaping the confines of comedy, his new album and revisiting his early songs, plus why he hopes artists who speak out about Gaza are ‘doing all their reading’

Superb effort! Smashing those KPIs! Pay the STI! Now including a Federal Court judgement and damages about unlawful dismissal!
Only the finest management and HR talent can end up spending $1.1 million on lawyers (just their own!) for an issue with a temporary employee who had two days left on her contract. In awe of the skills.

It's important we hear even more stories in our media about the real victims of war in the Middle East: well-off Australians facing the hell of flights delayed by up to 48 hours when on the way to or from their European Holiday.

My fav AI yarn I reckon - there was no AI, just 700 odd coders in India who pretended to be bots.
“The tech world is reeling from revelations that Builder.ai, once hailed as a $1.5 billion 'AI' powerhouse, now faces scrutiny as its highly promoted artificial intelligence facade crumbles, revealing a human-powered operation behind the cutting-edge AI automation.“
It was 700 Indians writing code!🤣
Builder.ai Collapses: $1.5bn 'AI' Startup Exposed as 'Actually Indians' Pretending to Be Bots
Builder.ai, once a $1.5 billion 'AI' startup backed by Microsoft and QIA, is filing for bankruptcy. A lender seized $37M, crippling operations.

Now every election the question to the leader of the opposition will be “what deal will you do with the National Party to be in minority govt?”

They are absolutely fucked.

As a nation we are safe in the knowledge that if this is the best the Liberal Party has to offer they will be in Opposition for some time yet.
Meantime, the two contenders for leading the right-wing coalition that got rubbished in the Australian election over the weekend look like they're an unapologetic couple protesting being ejected from _The Amazing Race_ for shouting various epithets.
