White House names journalists, outcry

The White House published a "Gallery of Shame" webpage naming journalists and outlets it deemed hostile, and drew criticism that the move targeted press freedom.

And needless to say, obviously there have been exceptions all along with some reporters doing great work. You know what I'm talking about with the far-too-general pattern.
The best thing the national political press could do is stop it with their special Trump Rules and cover him like they would have covered any other president. They should have done that 10 years ago, but it's never too late.

The White House just launched a "Media Bias" tracker to supposedly monitor fake news. It's really a hit list of reporters & outlets covering issues in ways Trump & the admin dislike. Flagrant attack on independent thought, freedom of the press & free speech. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

By and large, MSM (@Welker et al) allows propaganda to fester without clarity of truth or investigation of facts.
The bar is low, and journalism continues to fail in the moment.
The world watches.

We’ve had people from the U.S. and abroad asking whether the information on the White House website is even accurate anymore. The site has become unreliable, filled with blatantly false and deliberately misleading content.

To be clear: the specific intention behind the state naming and singling out journalists it doesn't like is to put those journalists in danger.

Weak headline; weak framing. The White House has published a list of journalists that the administration doesn't like.

The Nazis used the term "Lying Press" (Lügenpresse) to discredit and censor all dissenting media, simultaneously targeting journalists, and seizing, and giving their political allies control of news outlets to crush any opposition.

Just mentioning that now for no reason at all.

Remember in 2000 when Al Gore was repeatedly misquoted as having said he invented the internet and that was seen the eyes of many as disqualifying him from office? Simpler times. Today, Trump makes up lies equivalent to "I invented the internet" 30 times a week and no one bats an eye. Good job media
